For MA ComHarrisGE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola). I found a bit of info on the M8 that appears to require opening the radio and removing a jumper to get into dealer programming mode. Hoping that there may be a cloning cable and software out there for it, but its sounding like channel setup may actually require EEPROM programming. Calling info extremely sparse for this thing may be a bit generous.
